About Me

Story-led. Emotion-first. Always looking deeper.

I’m Nicole Favarelli - a director and writer drawn to the emotional spaces people often move around but rarely speak about. My work lives in that quiet tension: the unsaid, the surreal, and the deeply human.

I direct character-driven films with bold visuals and soft edges. My shorts Chocolate Tronchetto, Vakuum, and The Boogeyman explore themes like memory, identity, fear, and generational disconnect - often through grounded performances and visual metaphor. I’m especially interested in moments of transformation: the quiet shifts that say everything.

Beyond fiction, I’ve built a strong creative presence in the world of digital and branded content. I develop and deliver end-to-end campaigns for social media - writing, shooting, editing, and directing for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. I’ve collaborated with influencers, experts, and brands to create content that’s warm, engaging, and emotionally intelligent.

My process is intuitive and collaborative, with a strong focus on performance and visual tone. I love guiding actors, shaping stories with care, and working closely with creative teams to bring a vision to life - whether on set, in the studio, or in post.

I bring a wide skillset to every project: scriptwriting, camera operation, editing, and full production management - all backed by a strong creative strategy mindset. I’m experienced in working across different formats and team sizes, and I know how to lead a project from first draft to final cut with clarity and heart.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Directing for Film and Television from Met Film School in London, and my work has screened at festivals including the BAFTA-qualifying Bolton Film Festival. Looking ahead, I’m developing new short and long-form projects - aiming to expand into narrative TV and feature films, while continuing to explore work that challenges and moves people in equal measure.

Based in the UK. Working in English and Italian.
